a-hahaha i joined LSRfm (leeds student radio) music team just t'other day, and today i am reviewing patrick wolf's new single! o its going to be glowing. their trust is rediculous. first meeting- a room full of strangers and there handing out preview singles and albums to anyone who wants to review them, giving out plus 1 gig tickets for people to review gigs and interviews with these bands for the radio. its like wow are you actually serious or just teasing. we can also get involved in a one hour a week radio show, of just the new music we've been reviewing, playlist we choose, the interviews we recorded played out. can get invloved as much or as little as we like. oh i joined the local music team as well - which should involve a lot of small gig for leeds up and coming unsigned bands.
i also joined the engineering team for the radio, havent heard anything from them yet, but i should be helping out with some of the gigs they put on in the union with all the mics and amps and sound stuff - so perhaps my music tech A level wasnt a waste of time.
i also joined 'do it in the dark' film society and get to watch a movie free every tuesay and thursday, with free dvd library and some new film previews. and some other stuff.

i also joined biomedical sciences society and live music appreciation, but they havnt done anything yet.

cant say i have any people that i'd actually want to count as friends but hey who needs friends when i have so much music and film. its lonely. fortunatly my course is starting to get quite interesting. i have new facts now.
so it seems there are positives to joining obscenely large unis that you get lost in, it has like one of the biggest unions and student radios in the country.
im getting ready atm to go to the freshers ball, sugababes are playing, its going to be poptastic

time of my life
gosh, an amazing city is rubbish and depressing when you have no friends

they are so very underrated. and i dearly regret ever taking them for granted

o to have a sindall, dilloway, hancock, green, garrood, benson or dadswell

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. I promise not to come after you with a spatula, either way.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

bitter disappointment doesnt quite cover patrick wolf being replaced by fucking kaito on saturday night, so angry/upset
apparently something to do with the two bands sharing support throughout the tour and at the last minute some fool felt they should give kaito a london show. it kinda cast a huge shadow over le bloc party, that and all the gays in the crowd, or just near tor and i perhaps. i dont come to gigs to be used as a support for disgusting, sweaty old men, so that they can get a better view.
at least bloc played skeleton, that did help.
fun times ay tor. not sure i want to get the tube with you again though, makes me nervous.

have been invited to marie and richards 18th HA! who'd have thought it. though i suppose thats the thing about 18ths, you feel obliged to invite everyone. hmm what shall i wear! formal dress of course.

on a happier note i have muchos new musica, which i love, went to hmv and got 2 albums: joanna newsom - milk-eyed mender, and sufjan stevens- come on feel the illinoise, a concept album about the state, apparently he plans to do an album for each and every state, i like his ambition.
stupid gay hmv have gone and cut the singles section down to like a quarter of its formal size, which was pitifully small anyway, so now i have to order all my singles, (aka, more of the delightful patrick wolf, tristan came out today, go order (ugh, order) a copy for yourself folks, you wont regret it) the lovely shop assistant was very helpful though, which was nice.

decided during half term that i actually dont want to study biology at uni (leave it to the last bloody moment dont i), so back to the drawing board with biomedical sciences and medical sciences.

have been doing a shocking amount of downloading recently, mwuahahahahaa lots of lovely free music for me, i feel so devious. though really what am i supposed to do when its either way over priced (£4.99 for a single, no thankyou) or out of stock.tuh.shoddy.
laterz kidz
(bet you never thought i'd make a post longer than one sentence, tor)
